Subject: Success of Intersil-Flashing on my ThinkPad X24

Hi.

First of all I wanted to thank you for the very informative mini-HOWTO
on flashing Intersil Prism chipsets.

I just upgraded my mini-PCI

Network controller: Intersil Corporation Prism 2.5 Wavelan chipset (rev 01)
Subsystem: Actiontec Electronics Inc: Unknown device 0406
        Flags: medium devsel, IRQ 11
        Memory at f0000000 (32-bit, prefetchable) [size=4K]
        Capabilities: <available only to root>

(it's in an IBM ThinkPad X24 Notebook) from

NICID: id=0x8013 v1.0.0 (PRISM II (2.5) Mini-PCI (SST parallel flash))
PRIID: id=0x0015 v1.0.7
STAID: id=0x001f v1.3.6 (station firmware)

to

NICID: id=0x8013 v1.0.0 (PRISM II (2.5) Mini-PCI (SST parallel flash))
PRIID: id=0x0015 v1.1.1
STAID: id=0x001f v1.8.4 (station firmware)

with the files
http://linux.junsun.net/intersil-prism/firmware/1.8.4/sf010804.hex and
http://linux.junsun.net/intersil-prism/firmware/1.8.2/PK010101.HEX

To flash I followed your HOWTO, and there was absolutely no problem with
your directions.

And now I can use WPA with the hostap drivers, hooray :)

I'm fine if you publish my success story.

Thanks again, and best greetings from Germany,

Jens
