TITLE: 12.34/12.35 Config Error Premmia GX


SUMMARY

   When using the Sound Blaster AWE 32 Plug-and-Play (PnP) sound card 
   in a Premmia GX, the system may display error 12.34 or 12.35 on 
   boot up.
 
   This issue affects the following systems: 501522, 501733, 501842, 
   and 501843.


ISSUE

   The Premmia GX system reports system resource errors 12.34 or 12.35. 
   The EISACU (EISA Configuration Utility), software version 1.09, saves
   the configuration incorrectly for this particular Setup.


BACKGROUND

   EISACU version 1.09 is not designed to run on the Premmia GX.


ACTION

   1. Use version 1.08 of EISACU.  File <A HREF="ftp://ftp.ast.com/D-OTHER/11371039.EXE">11371039.EXE</A> is available for
      download from one of AST's On-Line! services as follows:

          To decompress this file, create a temporary directory on 
          your hard drive, copy the downloaded file to that directory,
          and run the file. 

   and

   2. Download file CTCMBBS.EXE from Creative Labs' web site at the 
      following address

      http://www.creaf.com/wwwnew/tech/ftp/ftp-pat.html 

      to configure the Sound Blaster AWE32 PnP sound card.
