CHANGING COMMUNICATIONS PARAMETERS

After you power up the computer, with the DCM-5 installed, and load the
communications software, you can change the default communications settings.
you will be using some of the commands listed in Table 3 (page 23). For a
thorough explanation of these commands, refer to the chapter 5, under over-
view of DCM-5 commands.

To see the current DCM-5 setting, type: *L.

The screen shows the default communications parameters:

MODE = A                Automatic mode
TYPE = O                Originate
F CD = Y                Forced Carrier Detect (Yes)
ASNW = 2                2 rings before answering
DTRY = 1                1 automatic dial try
TEST = N                Test mode (No)
NUMB =                  No specified telephone number
RATE = S                Slow dialing rate
EXIT = 14               <CTRL> <T> (ASCII 14) as the communications exit
                        command.

Each setting can be changed individually or by typing the settings in one
line. The method to change these settings will be described later.
