The SCSI hard disk drive requires BIOS ROM Version 01.03.01 or greater and
MS-DOS version 3.3 or greater. To find out which version BIOS ROM your
system is using, perform the following steps:

1. Be sure the equipment is connected properly.

2. Turn on the computer. The screen displays:

    BIOS ROM VERSION XX.XX.XX
    COPYRIGHT (C) 1985,1986,1987
    AND PHOENIX TECHNOLOGIES,LTD
    ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.
    LICENSED TO TANDY CORPORATION

3. Look at the numbers on the right side of the first line (xx.xx.xx above) to
determine the version of the BIOS ROM your system has.

With these requirements met, run FDISK followed by FORMAT to initialize the
hard disk drive. Refer to your DOS manual for more details on the FDISK and
FORMAT commands.
