SpyPC v.1.0 is a software developed by Padam Infotech Pvt. Ltd., a company registered in India, having its Registered Office at Mumbai (earlier called Bombay). This software is designed to run on Windows 95 or Windows 98 or Windows NT. The Copyright vests in Padam Infotech Pvt. Ltd.

How SpyPC helps you?

SpyPC is a software designed to secretly intercept, listen and record all the keystrokes and mouse clicks occurring in any application / software open on your computer. A log is kept of all these keystrokes and mouse-clicks information along with the respective Target Application Titles for which these keystrokes were meant, the user name, the date and time of the activities.

Main Features of SpyPC:

*	Secretly intercepts, listens and records all keystrokes and mouse-clicks occurring in any open application / software on your computer.
*	The target applications, to which such keystrokes or mouse-clicks were directed keep getting them in the usual manner - instantly and without any hindrance. So the user never even knows that all his keystrokes and mouse-clicks are being observed and recorded secretly.
*	A Log File (called Listen.htm) secretly records all these keystrokes and mouse-clicks information along with the Title Names of the respective Target Applications (for which these keystrokes or mouse-clicks were meant), the user name, the date and time of these activities.
*	Option to not intercept / record the mouse-click messages and intercept / record only the keystrokes.
*	SpyPC starts in the form of a System Tray Icon on the Task Bar of the Desktop of your computer, optionally restricting access to its main window through password as described below.
*	Option of password-protection for the main window of SpyPC so that if you choose to do so, only you or any person authorized by you with the knowledge of password could open and access the main window of SpyPC. As almost all options, operations and activities of SpyPC can be controlled only from its main window, this password-protection ensures that no unauthorized person can interfere with the working of SpyPC. It goes without saying that the password itself is encrypted (with a proprietary algorithm) and is stored in a secret place. Moreover, you have the option to change this password at any time you wish.
*	Option to encrypt the Log File (i.e., Listen.htm) so that no unauthorized person could open and read the contents of this file. This encrypted Log File can be read from within SpyPC by a person who has permission to open the main window of SpyPC. (Decryption takes place automatically when the encrypted Log File is read from within SpyPC in an authorized manner.) Whenever you change the encryption option for the Log File, if you have an existing Log File, you will be prompted to save this existing Log File with some other name or in some other path, and depending upon your choice, SpyPC will do the needful by renaming the file, etc.
*	Option to auto-launch SpyPC when the computer starts and the Windows starts. With this option ON, every time your computer is started, SpyPC will automatically launch and start. Of course, you can change this option at any time in future. You can use this auto-launch option along with the below-mentioned auto-spying option. Both these options, when used together, will ensure that whenever your computer is switched on, SpyPC will get launched automatically and the spying will also start automatically so that even if you are not present and somebody starts the computer in your absence, the spying will start automatically with the word GO!. This gives you the power to view what others have done on your computer in your absence.
*	Option of auto-spying, i.e., the spying will start automatically whenever SpyPC is started or launched. This will not require any intervention from your side. With this option ON, spying will start automatically each time SpyPC starts, and you do not have to specifically click at the appropriate menu-command or the toolbar-button. As described above, you can use this option along with the auto-launch option to automatically launch and automatically start spying when your computer is started, even in your absence, by somebody.
*	Option of selecting a Default Directory, wherein the Log File (i.e., Listen.htm) would be saved automatically, without your intervention on each occasion.
*	Log File (i.e., Listen.htm) is stored in the HTML format instead of the TEXT format. It gives EXTRA POWER to SpyPC to store the information relating to various keystrokes, mouse-clicks, Window / Application names, user names, date / time, and other messages in different color and font-sizes schemes. The scheme of using different color and different font-sizes for different kinds of messages has been designed specially and it is applied with uniformity and consistency to similar kinds of messages. It makes it convenient to view the contents of the Log File at a glance itself. Just by having a look at the Log File, you can make out what part of text means means what - whether it is a mouse-click message or a keystroke message or some other helper message, and more specifically as to what key was pressed or which mouse button was pressed and where.
*	Option to set times for starting and stopping of spying on your computer. Thus, if want to go out after having started your computer, and want to know what activities take place on your computer during a particular time interval, say in between 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., you can do so easily with SpyPC by setting the auto-start-spying and auto-stop-spying timings in SpyPC. When the timing options are thus properly set, SpyPC will automatically start spying at a particular pre-set time and will then automatically stop spying at a particular pre-set time, and that too, even in your absence. Like an obedient assistant, SpyPC will record all keystroke and mouse-click activities on your computer, which you can view subsequently.
*	Option to the limit the size of the Log File. If your system resources do not permit you much liberty in the matter of hard disk space, and you are worried that running SpyPC for a long time would eat into your precious hard disk space, do not despair! SpyPC gives you the option to pre-set and limit the size of the Log File (say 2MB or so), so that even if you forgot to stop spying, SpyPC will automatically stop spying and will not record any further messages in the Log File, once the pre-set limit on the size of the Log File is reached. Of course, you can switch off this option or change the actual limit on the size of the Log File at any time in future. A small advice here - do not set the limit size option at very low levels (unless you have extreme constraints of hard disk space) otherwise you may may miss the subsequent spying activities.
*	Option to remind you and prompt you for your permission to delete the Log File after a pre-set number of days. For example, if you pre-set this option to 5 days, then after every 5 days, SpyPC will automatically ask by prompting you for your permission to delete the existing Log File. Depending upon your reply to this prompt, SpyPC may delete the existing Log File or may cancel the operation.
*	Option to completely hide SpyPC from view. With this option ON, SpyPC will not be visible even as an Icon from the System Tray.
*	Option of invisible installation of SpyPC, so that it does not show up in the Start - Programs menu list, etc.
*	All your optional settings in SpyPC as described above are remembered by SpyPC, even after you switched off the computer, by storing their information at a secret place. Likewise, all these options can be changed at any time in future.
*	Detailed help available in the form of this Help file.

How to install SpyPC:

SpyPC can be installed in an easy manner. When you download SpyPC software from the Internet, or get a copy of it from a CD, what you actually get is a file named spypc10.exe (or with whatever other name), which is in fact a WinZip Self-Extractor file. This means that it is basically a ZIP file but with the facility of a self-extracting file. In practice, it implies that when you run this file on the Windows, this file will automatically unzip all the setup files in a temporary directory (and you don't require any UnZip utility for that purpose; this work is automatically done by spypc10.exe file itself) and then it will automatically run the setup files and install the SpyPC software on your computer. Thus, what you have to do is simply grab this file, namely spypc10.exe from the Internet or any other reliable source and then run this file on your computer on the Windows Operating System.

So, how to run spypc10.exe file on your computer? Simple. Click on the Start button the desktop of your computer under the Windows, and then click Run. A small dialog box titled Run opens in which you enter the full path name of this spypc10.exe file either by browsing the pathname using Browse button or by manually typing the pathname. After the full path appears in the said Run window, then simply click on the OK button thereon. And that's it! The said file spypc10.exe will start running and will take you through the easy installation process by way of on-screen instructions. After installation is completed using this process, SpyPC will appear in Start - Programs menu list on your Windows.

SpyPC As a Shareware :

SpyPC is a shareware. You are free to use it for an evaluation period of 15 days without paying any registration fee.
