Assign, Save and Recall your important Password information.

Distribution Agreements:

This software was developed by TPC Software and is distributed as
"Shareware Software". This means you can distribute the
"Unregistered Version" of this software, in its original unmodified
format, freely to others for their evaluation and consideration.

If you believe that this software does not offer enough value to
warrant registering and paying the $15.00 registration fee, then
you should remove the software from your machine. If you do find
it is of sufficient value and would like to register the software,
then you will find additional information in the section on
Registration Information.

License Agreement:

You may use the Unregistered Shareware Version of this software on
a trial basis for thirty (30) days. After that period, you should
either register it or completely remove it from you computer. The
Unregistered Shareware Version is identified by the word
"UNREGISTERED COPY" in the "About PASSreCall" pop-up window
displayed at the startup of the program. The Unregistered Version
contains all of the same functionality of the Registered Version
except that it is limited to storing only five ( 5 ) password
records.

The Registered Shareware version of the software is intended to be
registered and used by an individual for the purpose of managing
his ( her ) passwords. This Registered User may execute this
software on a single PC or possibly a second PC as long as there
is no opportunity for this single license to be used concurrently
on any two systems at the same time. This Registered Version may
NOT be stored on a network drive and accessed by multiple users
for any purpose. The User may make enough copies of the original
program code and related files as are necessary to ensure adequate
backup and recovery. The User may not modify or reverse engineer
the software or documentation files in any way.

Description:

PASSreCall (for Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, and 2000) is an indispensable
tool that will assist in the creation and retrieval of your important
passwords. All password information is stored in a secure encrypted
file format that will ensure the safety and confidentiality of your
information.

You will find PASSreCall to be the most intuitive and easy to use
program that is available to manage your passwords. Each time you
start PASSreCall you will be prompted for your Master Password that
will verify your access to the remaining password records.

If you have forgotten your Master Password, then you can request the
program to present two Challenge Questions to verify your access.
If the correct answers are given in response to the two questions,
then PASSreCall will return the Master Password..

The program provides the following information for each password
record: Description, Password, UserID, WebSite, and Comments.
The program will also automatically update a Date/Time Changed field
for each new record. Linkage to the WebSite is automatically
made by clicking on this field in the record.

Password records can be selected from the List by either using the
Mouse Left-Click button or by scrolling through the records with the
PgUp, PgDn, ArrowUp or ArrowDown keys. As a record is selected, the
individual fields for that record will be displayed in a record form
format. Any of the fields can be modified or the selected record can
be deleted.

Report Options: PASSreCall allows you to select the included fields
and their sequence and width to produce a highly customizable array
of reports.

PASSreCall can be configured to operate the way you would like. To
view or change your program options, four separate options forms are
provided.

Installation:

The PASSreCall Application is packaged and distributed in one PKZIP file
named PASSRE10.ZIP (or possibly by the generic name of PASSRC.ZIP).

1) Select or Create a working directory ( drive:\directory\ ) to copy
PASSRE10.ZIP and then UN-ZIP this file.

This step will produce five files:

  1) PASSRE1.CAB	1st file containing programs & support modules
  2) PASSRE2.CAB 2nd file containing programs & support modules
  3) SETUP.LST Text file containing installation instructions
  4) SETUP.EXE Program used to initiate the installation
  5) README.TXT THIS FILE!
  6) HISTORY.TXT	History of program modifications and updates
  7) FILE_ID.DIZ	Quick identifier and description file
  8) PAD_FILE.XML	PAD File, full file in XML
  9) PAD_FILE.HTM	PAD File, abbreviated in HTML format

2) From the Windows START menu, choose RUN, and type:

	   drive:\directory\SETUP.EXE

This will initiate the automated installation process. The install will
select C:\Program Files\PASSreCall as the location to install the
PASSreCall Application. You can accept this location or select any other
drive and directory for the installation. You will be prompted for your
preference of a Startup Program Group to add the PASSreCall Icon. If you
don't have a preference one will be selected.

That's it, the installation is complete!

Diskette Packaging:

You may also find PASSreCall distributed on two 3 1/2" diskettes. The
files contained on these two diskettes will be the same as the files
identified in Step 1 above.

If this is the packaging you received, then copy both diskettes to a
working directory on your disk and proceed with Step 2 (above) to complete
the installation.

If interested, there is more detail in the installation files and other
information in the Technical Explanation Section of the Help Documentation.

Removal of PASSreCall:

When you install PASSreCall, the SETUP program copies the Application-
Removal Utility ST6UNST.EXE to the \WINDOWS or \WINNT directory. Each
time you use the Setup Program to install PASSreCall, a Removal Log File
ST6UNST.LOG) is generated in the installation directory.

If you should want to remove PASSreCall, use the Windows Add/Remove Programs
section of the Control Panel.
