The File Obfuscator is a simple utility which uses a password sent to
a unique, self-modifying encryption algorithm to encrypt any sort of
file. This program has been created by Neil Edelman. It is free for
personal and casual use, so long as it is not employed directly for
commercial profit. It may be distributed free of charge while it remains
intact and in it's entirety (including this file is not necessary).
Because I know very little about encryption, I can make no claims as to
the usefulness, safety, or security of this software. To my knowledge,
there should be no legal issues concerning the use or distribution of
this program; if you know of any, please contact me and I will make a
note of them. The encryption algorithm used does not, to my knowledge,
match any sort of key scheme commonly used, but rather uses a single
password string. If you have questions, comments, bug reports, or ideas,
feel free to e-mail me dreaded.neil@phreaker.net (subject to change; if
it causes a bounce, try neil@thekeyboard.com).
