1.0 How Do I:

1.1 How do I create my own Transition List:
Dcat Screen Saver allows you to create your own list of transitions to use from the available
     transitions.

Follow these steps to add/create your list.

     1. Use the preview to select a transition.
     2. Click the green button or drag the text to the My Transitions box.
     3. Select either "My Order" or "My Random"

You can reorder the list by dragging and dropping. You may also repeat the same transition.

1.2 How do I match a transition to a image:
     1. Create a list in "My Transitions"
     2. Select "My Order"
     3. Select "Alpha Order"

The transition used will follow the order in the "My Transitions" list. The images used will be
in alphabetical order so you will need to name your images as such. You may use the same
transition as many times as you like in the list. When the screen saver is closed the current
image being displayed will be "remembered" and will be the first image displayed when the
     screen saver is next run.

1.3 How do I change the screen savers settings:
The settings can be accessed by following these steps

     1. Right click on the desktop and select properties.
     2. Select Screen Saver in the Display Properties window.
     3. Select Dcat Screen Saver from the list.
     4. Click settings.

1.4 How do I make the screen saver my default screen saver:
Dcat Screen Saver needs to be made the default screen saver for it to automatically start
after a set amount of time. To do this follow these steps.

     1. Right click on the desktop and select properties.
     2. Select screen saver in the Display Properties window.
     3. Select Dcat Screen Saver from the list.
     4. Click Ok or Apply.

3.0 Virus Scanners:
The computer may slow down for a few seconds or up to two minutes and the CPU activity will
increase to 100% when a virus scanner scans Dcat Screen Saver at the point that Dcat Screen Saver
executes if the virus scanner is configured to scan for viruses in a screen saver file. This can be
avoided by configuring the virus scanner not to scan .scr files or not to scan Dcat Screen Saver when
Dcat Screen Saver is run.

If the following virus scanners are set to scan all files when the files are accessed/run then you may
find the computer will react in the way described.

The system will with McAfee Virus Scanner and Norton Virus Scanner slow down for up to 2 minutes
before allowing access to the screen saver.

AVX Professional takes only 5 to 6 seconds before allowing access.

Kaspersky AVP and F-Secure cause no problems with the system.
