General:
Chores2K is a Y2K compliant electronic time card program that works in conjuction
with an Access database to aid in time and project management by tracking hours
and expenses for one or more employees. Chores2K uses a start, stop and pause
button so that users do not have to keep track of their hours separately, and
is accurate to one minute. Notes can be added at any time and these notes are
automatically formatted into a weekly or dated report at the press of a button.
An autosave feature stores data on a regular basis in case of system shutdowns
or power failures. OnTime can set hourly rates, and expenses
then print a weekly report or detailed summary. Chores2K is designed for anyone who
works on computers and has to charge their time to individual projects or make
out time sheets and weekly reports. An alarm feature is also available to ring
when an elapsed time or time of day is reached.

Special requirements: Microsoft run-time and DAO dlls required but not included
for size considerations. These dlls are available on Simtel or www.selenex.com

Installation:

Chores2K installation instructions

Run the setup.exe program.

From the Start menu go to Programs and look for the Chores2K group and
choose the Chores2K option. Chores2K should then run.

Several things may happen at this point.

1)	Chores2K opens the logon dialog box, make sure the data source is
set for the Database Files/Chores2K.mdb file then select OK. You should
then see the user interface open and be able to add a project and
start timing. See the Quick Overview section of the help file for
instructions. If you are able add a project and start timing you are
all set.

2) Chores2K does not start due to missing dlls. Go to
www.selenex.com/Chores2K.html and download the 'Chores2K with Runtime Libraries'
zip file. Be sure to extract the files with -d option in pkzip or
the Use Folder Names checkbox selected in Winzip to preserve the
stored directory structure. Run the setup.exe located in the root directory.
This will re-install Chores2K with all required run-time libaries. Then go to
the DAO folder and run the setup.exe file located there. This will
install the DAO dlls which are required running the database.

If there are other missing dlls then contact support@selenex.com

3) Chores2K does start but you cannot log onto the database due to the
user Admin not being allowed. This either means that someone else has
logged on to the Chores2K.mdb file and used up all the employee IDs or
your system administrator has setup Access on your machine to use
user level security. Either case will require an upgrade of Chores2K,
contact sales@selenex.com for additional information.

4) Chores2K does start but the Add Project button does not work and
the date selector on the menu bar is grayed out. This means that you
are running an older version of Windows and the comctl32.dll file
is unable to support Chores2K's functionality. Either install Internet
Explorer 4.0 or later or contact support@selenex.com
