Frequently Asked Questions:

1. Do I have to install Property Manager on an Exchange Server?
- Yes.  Property Manager directly interacts with the server. 

2. Do I need to install Property Manager on every Exchange Server?
- No.  Property Manager will operate for all users of the Exchange 
Site that Property Manager belongs to. 

3. What do I have to do before starting the 'MC Property 
Manager (<site>)' service?
a: You must have an organization forms folder.  This can be 
installed using the 'Forms Administrator' located in the 
Exchange Admin application.
b: You must add the 'MC Property Manager (<site>)' mailbox to the 
permissions of the organization forms folder as 'Owner'.
c: You must have Exchange Client installed on the server.

4. MC Property Manager service will not start, how can I find 
out what is wrong?
- Check the 'Application' log in the Event Viewer.  Property 
Manager entries are listed as "MCPROPMAN".

5. The service started but I can't see the user information 
form in the organization forms folder.
- It may take several minutes for the forms to be replicated 
throughout the site.

6. Do users have to install the client setup to use the Property 
Manager form?
- No, the form can be selected through the menus of their 
Exchange Client or Outlook application.  The client setup makes 
form selection easier for the user by providing them with a 
single menu item and/or a toolbar button.

7. How do I change the configuration of Property Manager after 
it has been installed?
- The configuration can be changed by using your Exchange Admin 
application.  Locate the 'MC Property Manager' mailbox agent in 
the recipients container.  Select the mailbox and click 
'File...Properties'.

8. I have changed the configuration of Property Manager but 
nothing has changed in the user form.
- It may take up to three minutes for the new changes to take 
effect and for the new form to be installed.

9. Can a user change the properties of another user?
- No.  Property Manager will only allow access to the properties 
of the mailbox the user is logged on to.

10. Where do I find the version of Property Manager I have 
installed?
- Using your Exchange Admin application, display the properties 
of the following object: 
<Site>...Configuration...Add-ins...Extension for MC Property 
Manager for i386.  

11. What will happen if users send regular mail to the MC Property
Manager mailbox?
- Nothing.  Property Manager automatically deletes any non-related
items that enter its mailbox.
