SpeakTrk for Win95 V2.61     Turkish Text To Speech Synthesizer
                             implementing phoneme concatanation technique.

This version has the following features:
----------------------------------------

1 - Voice pitch and speech speed adjustment.
2 - Multithread support:  You dont have to wait for the speech to finish.  
    You can start and stop the speech engine at any time.
3 - Intonation:  You can define stressed syllables.  Possible uses of intonation 
    are interrogative intonation and exclamation.
4 - Dynamic voice envelope and pitch:  Voice envelope and pitch varies according 
    to word and prose reading rules.
5 - Artificial voice imperfection:  Provides a natural speech effect.
6 - Phoneme junction processing:  Provides a natural syllable generation effect.
7 - Processing of note definition strings:  Provides a means to have speech engine sing.
8 - Context sensitive sign reading.  Signs like . , : ;  are read regarding the 
    position they reside in the statement.
9 - Exception Dictionary:  This is an external application (ExcepDic.exe).  You can
    use this program to define exceptional words that are read differently from default
    reading rules.  There are currently more than 1700 derivable exceptional words.
    Some of the words are english commonly used in computer jargon (eg Screen, Download,
    Preference etc).


Requirements:

  Operating System:                Win95 and higher version.
  CPU:                             i386 and higher.
  Extra Hardware:                  Sound Blaster compatible sound card
                                   capable of playing 16 bit, 22 KHz samples.

To install the software:
------------------------
1- Run spktrk25.exe.  This is a self extractor.
2- Make shortcuts to SpeakTrk.exe and ExcepDic.exe.
3- See readme.txt for file descriptions.

To run the software:
--------------------
  Run one of the two modules included in the software.  These are:
  SpeakTrk.exe        You enter text in a textbox and press Speak and 
                      the computer reads it with the speed and pitch parameters 
                      you supply using slider controls.  You can start and
                      stop speech at anytime you wish.
                      Use SpeakTrkDemo.txt to see demonstration texts.
                      All you need to do is to copy the section you want to
                      be read and paste in SpeakTrk.exe's text box.

  ExcepDic.exe        You can handle exception dictionary documents used by
                      SpeakTrk.exe.  You can add, delete, search for exceptional
                      words in a dictionary.  Exception dictionary document files
                      (.ted) are automatically registered to your system.  So,
                      you can directly open a .ted file by double clicking on it.
