This is WinChimes version 3.01 (WC3.ZIP)

WinChimes is a fun utility that on startup parks itself in your System Tray (that area next to your system clock) and chimes the hour and/or quarter hours using wave or midi sounds. Some very good sample files are included, but you can provide your own favorites as well. An hourly melody can be turned on to play just before the hourly chimes, and an alarm is included to keep you on time. WinChimes also provides handy shortcuts to some commonly used Windows programs.

WinChimes requires Windows 95,98 or NT running on a system using at least a 486 processor. A soundcard is a must as sounds will not be played via the PC speaker. A good quality soundcard is recommended since WinChimes plays midi files. The better the soundcards wavetable, the better midi files will sound. WinChime also requires that the Windows "Media Player" be installed. This is available from your Windows installation package (usually a CD).

This program is shareware, and will function fully for 14 days. After the trial period all sounds are disabled and at this point the user can choose to register or remove the program from their system. Registration for one copy installed on one computer is US $7.50.

This program may be freely distributed as long as the original archive remains intact.

WinChimes can be downloaded for many shareware distributors or from the author's home page located at http://www.ddd.communitech.net/software/software.shtml.
