DESCRIPTION:
Calculait 2.00 is an easy-to-use, customizable 32-bit Windows multifunction
calculator that's also a World Clock. Although especially made for the
nonprofessional, it has a slew of powerful functions to satisfy the more
demanding user. It can calculate, for example, hyperbolic trigonometric
functions, convert all manner of measures, and even tell the time in any major
city on the planet.

	Features:
	*   Scientific Calculator
	*   Statistics Calculator
	*   Financial Calculator
        *   Date-Days Calculator
	*   Equivalents Converter
	*   Random Number Generator
	*   Animated Message Board
	*   World Clock
	*   History Tape

Calculait lets you copy your results to the Clipboard for use by your other
applications--as well as paste Clipboard contents to the display. Data entries
in the History Tape and the Statistics list box can be saved to file.

Calculait can be operated right out of the box by anyone who has used a
calculator before. Although it was designed to be used intuitively, two almost
identical Help files are included nevertheless for your reference: one is hard-
wired into Calculait to allow for instant viewing; the other, a separate
help.txt, can be read with any word processor.

You can use both keyboard and mouse to operate this product.

REQUIREMENTS:
Calculait runs on Windows 95/98/NT. Because of its use of some DirectX graphics,
however, it runs best on Pentium-class machines (better than 166 MHz) with at
least 16MB RAM. For slower PCs (or if you plan to run it under Windows 95 or
Windows NT without DirectX ver. 5 or higher), it's recommended that you turn off
the graphics via Screen > Screen off. NOTE that Calculait WILL run without
trouble, albeit with no graphics, even without DirectX. This version has not
been extensively tested under Windows 2000. (Windows, Windows 95, 98, 2000, NT and
DirectX are registered trademarks of Microsoft Corporation.)

A screen resolution setting of 16-bit high color or better is recommended.

A sound card is not needed to run Calculait. If you wish though to hear the
sound effects, a sound card must be installed. You need to supply your own
sound files (.wav files only) since the author cannot distribute the original
.wav files, which are copyrighted. You will need a maximum of 15 .wav files
(you can use less if you wish)installed in the same directory that
Calculait 2.00 is in (the default is c:\program files\calculait). It's
essential that you rename each of your .wav files with the following names:

1. bigdog
2. birds
3. camera
4. cashreg
5. chicken
6. cuckoo
7. ghost
8. gong
9. handbell
10. laser
11. tarzan
12. type
13. whooh
14. whoosh
15. wolfhowl

The more names you use, the more calculator keys and functions will have sounds.

PROGRAMMING:
Calculait 2.00 was written in Rapid-Q (beta), a freeware compiler developed by
William Yu. You can download it at www.basicguru.com/abc/rapidq.

INSTALLATION:
Simply unzip the calculait 2.00.zip contents, then click on the self-extracting Setup.exe.
The automatic setup will install into c:\program files\calculait. However, you can change
the default destination if you wish. You can also delete all the other files in the
distribution without compromising the usability of the program. You can create a shortcut
to Calculait by dragging its icon from Explorer to the Desktop.
