Description

Accum is an intelligent, planet and user friendly adding machine with the functions you expect from a mechanical adding machine plus capabilities associated with a Windows environment. Features include, but are not limited to:

> Master/derived values ... linked values which update automatically when the tape is changed
> Biz Wizard ... popular business calculations for annuities, loans and depreciation
> Paper tape without having to buy paper tape (or ribbons)
> No life expectancy ... won't wear out and have to be replaced
> "Pick up where you left off" tapes previously saved to disk
> Notes on the tape
> Domestic and international value formats (9,999,999.99 and 9.999.999,99)
> Editable tape and tape notes
> Compatible with all Windows clipboard compatible software
> Collapse mode for when screen space is at a premium
> Captions to help document the purpose of tapes
> Searching for tape files based on filename, caption and/or notes
> Memory arithmetic with any tape value, the In Box and the running subtotal
> Printing tapes on any available printer and to text files
> Porting tapes to any clipboard compatible application
> One key sales tax closeout with user set percentage and tape notes
> Automatic decimal point insertion
> Tape navigation keys
> User Guide to which the user can easily add topics
> Optional adding machine sounds
> Red negative numbers (optional)
> Resizable window (in both expanded and collapsed modes)
> Resizable tape
> Selectable font sizes and font bold
> One-time and locked repeating of In Box values
> The Enter key acts as both a + and a subtotal key just like mechanical adding machines
> Optional line and item numbers on the tape
> Totally configurable tape printing options independent of displayed tape settings
> Notes on the tape can be multi-line
> Length of values on the tape are not limited (a warning is displayed should values get long enough to cause unpredictable rounding and, thereby, questionable tape accuracy)
> No limit to the number of user named memories
> Tapes are saved to disc in encrypted format to preserve tape integrity
> Tapes opened from disc are audited and re-calculated
> Tape files are backward compatible
> Tapes can be printed to a text (.txt) or document (.rtf) format (document format preserves font size, bold and red negative numbers which makes it an excellent option for incorporating tapes into word processing documents)
> Up to 8 of the most recently opened/saved tapes are listed on the File menu
> The user guide has been upgraded and now includes hypertext links
> A new tape technology has been incorporated which preserves all tape values as originally entered (this means any and all formatting options applied to the tape always start with the original values)

Shareware

Accum is a fully functional shareware program which you are free to use and evaluate without obligation for 30 days (or 90 program starts). This program may also be freely distributed via all available channels. The Registration Name and Number you receive after paying the registration fee, however, may not be distributed to anyone; nor used by anyone other than yourself or the person or entity who's name appears in the Registration Name.

----------
Registration

If, after giving Accum a try, you decide you want to continue to use the program you have two choices for registering the program for the modest fee of US$24.95.

1. Via snail mail ... the User Guide topic "Registering The Program" contains full instructions for printing, completing and mailing the manual registration form which comes with the program. There is also a snail mail registration form which you can print from the Register page on our web site.
2. Online ... from our web site (www.2goodsoftware.com) you have access to online registration where you may use your credit card or pay directly from your checking account.

Depending on the registration and return notification methods you choose, you will receive a registration number. This registration number, along with your registration name is entered in the Accum Register window which is accessed from the File menu. Once registered, your copy of Accum becomes a retail version requiring no further registration processes.

If you have to reinstall Accum for any reason your registration name and number are all you need to register the program after each re-installation. (The registration name and number are not to be shared in any way, shape or form with anyone else for the purpose of registering an installation of Accum for which the registration fee has not been paid.)
