is menu driven.

A few pointers:

VOCABULARY REVIEW

With the exception of option C. (Prepositions) each section of the vocabulary
review has a lookup option. You can enter either the English or German
term, however, the program searches only singular terms for nouns
and adjectives, and the infinitive for verbs. If more than one
term matches your request, you will have the option to
see the next term by entering "N" at next the prompt. If no
additional terms match your request, the system will return to
the look-up menu. Because some of the vocabulary words have the same
English meaning (for example, "beginnen" and "anfangen" are both
translated as "to begin"), you may wish to review the vocabulary before
attempting the exercises.

EXERCISE REVIEW

The exercise sections of German Plus! are not case sensitive.
Accented vowels can be entered by using the Function Key options
displayed at the bottom of the exercise screens. The option for
OBJECT PRONOUNS uses the Accusative (direct object case only).
On start-up, each option contains a unique set of vocabulary words.
During the exercises, these words will be presented in a random
pattern, so that each time you select an exercise, you will be
drilled for the vocabulary word in a different context. For each
verb you will be asked a different tense; for each noun you will
be asked to enter a different case; etc. When you exit the program
completely and restart, a new set of vocabulary words will be
selected.

The number of words chosen for each session
depends on how many words you have "Archived", and how many words
you have viewed during a previous session. Because of the random
nature of the program, you may occassionally choose an option
which contains no vocabulary words--they have either all been
archived, or they have all been reviewed. If this should happen,
simply exit German Plus! and start the program again. If you have
archived all of the vocabulary words, you may wish to unarchive
them all and start again.

VERB REVIEW

When prompted to answer a drill, do not repeat the subject
in your answer. (For example, if the question is "(ich) is," the
correct answer would be "bin" rather than "ich bin." When you
have reached the end of the review, you can begin again, and you
will be drilled with a new conjugation for each verb.

For exercises using the second person, the screen will indicate
"you" or "you (pl.)". The third person will be shown as "You."

I hope that you enjoy using the program!
