[Properties]

Terbium is a soft, silvery metal. It feels something like lead, but looks
a bit more like aluminum. It is a lot heavier than either of those familiar
elements, though. Terbium is a member of the lanthanide series, from
lanthanum (element 57) through lutetium (element 71).
The element has two, temperature-dependent crystal forms, or allotropes.
The alpha form is the one that exists at room temperature - up to 1298
degrees. The beta form from prevails above that temperature.
